Infertility? Wait, isn’t this a GI practice? Yes, we normally are talking about digestive issues but today we are going to shake things up.

Women who have trouble getting pregnant go through a broad and varied array of emotions and “why” is an often asked question. While it is not the only answer, sometimes being obese is a key to infertility.

Several recent studies show that women who are obese have a high rate of infertility. Those same studies show that losing weight and making real lifestyle changes can increase a woman’s chance of conceiving naturally. In fact one study, presented at the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology annual meeting, showed that women who made lifestyle changes were 4 times as likely to conceive as women who received fertility treatments alone.

While we can not guarantee that losing weight will help you get pregnant, we believe it gives you a new approach to leading an overall healthier life - and all that entails. If you are interested in getting more information about weight loss, please contact us here.
