Vonda Reeves, a Mt. Olive, MS native, joined the GI Associates family in 1997 and is one of the gastroenterologists at the Flowood GI Associates and Endoscopy Center and the Madison GI Associates and Endoscopy Center.
Dr. Reeves received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Millsaps College and went on to pursue a medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN. She completed both her internship and residency in Internal Medicine and her fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. She is board certified in Gastroenterology.
In addition to working at GI Associates, she is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Medicine. She has extensive research experience, and has received numerous faculty appointments including the Association of Black Women Physicians, the American Women’s Medical Association and the American Gastroenterological Association. She has done extensive research in motility disorders and HIV-related conditions of the gut.

My experience with Vonda G.Reeves,M.D. was excellent. Dr.Reeves assistants was good. First all they made sure that I was lying in a comfortable position especially my head. They explained to me step by step the process; which all went well and all I know when I woke up I was in the recovering room with my son. Dr Reeves is an excellent doctor; however my doctor had an emergency but I am thankful that God put me in her care. Also she is my sister doctor too and she told me that Dr Reeves is a good doctor and I would be okay. Thank God. .

My whole experience was extremely satisfying…From the nurse who took care of me in the holding room to the staff in the operating room..,The gentleman that came and rolled me back was super cheerful and professional…Then once in the or, everyone was focused in on their individual task in a collaborative effort to take care of me…Last but definitely not least, Dr. Reeves was, as always, very professional. She even asked about the family and gave me advise on a situation I was dealing with…So, in summation as to my experience, I’ll just say this, I would have another tomorrow if I had to solely due to the care, dedication and professionalism of Dr. Reeves and her staff

Very friendly and professional staff! I love Dr. Reeves, she’s very knowledgeable about the body. She noticed something else about me and requested test to be sure. Love it!
The Visit was perfect. They took time out to explain everything to me so I could feel comfortable. Which I did feel very comfortable. The staff was very friendly courteous and knowledgeable.
As far as nervous jitters go, I’ve never had them when I visit Dr Reeves. She, her team did an excellent job preparing me for my EGD. They are down to earth & super professional!!!

This wasn’t my first visit to GI Associates but my first time visiting Dr Reeves. I found staff and doctor pleasantly wonderful. Very caring and knowledgeable in what they are doing. I thank them all for making me feel at home.
