The American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) monitors endoscopy centers for quality control and issues recognigiton awards yearly. The ASGE Endoscopy Unit Recognition Program honors endoscopy units that have demonstrated a commitment to patient safety and quality in endoscopy as evidenced by meeting the program's rigorous criteria which includes following the ASGE guidelines on privileging, quality assurance, endoscope reprocessing, CDC infection control guidelines and ensuring endoscopy staff competency.

The three endoscopy centers that are a part of GI Associates (Jackson, Madison, and Vicksburg) have once again met the standards put forth by our peers and have earned a 3-year renewal of our award. We are very proud of what this honor says about our physicians, staff, and facilities. We work hard to earn your trust and the respect of our professional associations.
