As we approach March, which is set aside as Colon Cancer Awareness Month, the American Cancer Society has announced that awareness is working! There are two statistics that are relevant to such a significant decline:
- Colon Cancer Deaths are down sharply
- Number of new cases diagnosed are also down - this is due to polyps being removed prior to them becoming cancerous.
